Japanese vehicle importing is well established among UK dealers.
Where it often becomes difficult is not quality or availability, but timing.

Paying for stock weeks before it reaches the UK ties up capital, increases pressure, and forces decisions to be made too early. Brooklands exists to provide a proper funding and settlement structure around importing, so dealers can operate calmly and commercially.

We are not an importer or sourcing service.
We provide the infrastructure that makes importing workable at scale.

From auction to UK arrival

Dealer access and vehicle selection

Approved dealers are given direct access to Japanese vehicle auctions.

Dealers search, assess and bid themselves. There is no brokerage layer and no “we’ll find you a car” service. Full transparency is maintained over what is being purchased and at what price.

Auction win and funding

Once a vehicle is successfully purchased at auction, Brooklands provides wholesale funding.

Instead of paying the full balance immediately, the dealer pays a deposit alongside agreed fees. This allows the purchase to proceed without tying up full capital at the point of auction.

Inspection, documentation and export preparation

Prior to export, vehicles undergo physical inspection and documentation review.

Mileage and auction information are verified, and export preparation is coordinated to ensure the vehicle is shipped with the correct paperwork and standards in place.

Shipping and settlement

The vehicle is shipped to the UK while capital remains available to the dealer.

Final settlement is made closer to UK arrival, rather than weeks earlier. This significantly reduces the time during which dealer funds are tied up while stock is in transit.
