HOW IT WORKS
How UK Dealers Buy from Japanese Auctions
Buying from Japanese auctions should not mean handing the buying decision to someone else.
Through Brooklands, UK motor dealers can search Japanese auction stock, choose the vehicles they want, review the available information and set their own bids.
Brooklands does not pick cars from a small stock list and sell them on.
The dealer chooses the vehicle.
The dealer sets the bid.
Brooklands helps fund and organise the process from Japanese auction purchase towards UK arrival.

1. Speak to Brooklands
The first step is a straightforward conversation.
Brooklands will explain how the process works, what kind of dealers it suits, how the funding position works and what is involved in buying vehicles from Japanese auctions.
This is not a formal finance application and it is not a commitment to buy.

Demo access to Japanese auction stock
Before full onboarding, dealers can be set up with demo access to see how the auction stock is presented.
This gives you a clearer view of the market, the type of vehicles available, the auction information, the bidding structure and how Japanese auction stock could fit your dealership.

3. Terms and onboarding
If the route looks suitable, Brooklands will take you through the terms and onboarding process.
Once agreed, you can be given live auction access and start reviewing stock through the Brooklands process.

4. Review auction stock
Dealers can access a large Japanese auction stock pool, with more than 140,000 weekly listings across familiar dealer stock, specialist vehicles and selected Japanese-brand stock.
You review the available auction information, including auction sheets, images, grades, translated notes and condition details.
Vehicles are physically checked at auction by a team of experts in Japan, helping give a clearer view of condition, specification, mileage information where available and visible issues before you bid.

5. Set your bid
The buying decision stays with the dealer.
You choose the vehicle and set the price you are prepared to pay. Brooklands does not choose vehicles for you from a small stock list or package the price after the event.
If the vehicle is secured, the auction price is clear.

6. Buy, fund and organise import
If the vehicle is secured, the dealer buys with an initial deposit.
Brooklands then helps fund the vehicle through the import period while it moves from Japanese auction purchase towards UK arrival.
Brooklands organises shipping, documentation and customs handling through the Brooklands process.

Talk through buying from Japanese auctions
If you are a UK motor dealer and want to understand whether Japanese auction stock could work for your business, start with a dealer enquiry.
Brooklands will explain the process, show you how the market works and take you through the funding position before you commit to buying anything.
